These common exception words word mats are perfect for the student’s tables. They’ll have easy and quick access to the high frequency words they need as they write. Words are arranged alphabetically. Laminate these common word mats and they can be used again and again. These word mats could be photocopied and stuck into books as a reference sheet for high frequency word spellings, or enlarged and displayed in your classroom. These clip cards are a great way for students to practice recognizing numbers to 10 including subitizing and in words. 55 cards are included which model various visual representations including ten frames and pictures. Each card has three possible answers. Students select the correct answer by clipping a clothespin, peg or paper clip to it. I like to laminate these cards so students can simply circle the correct answer using a dry erase marker. This works great as a tough spot activity. Alternatively, you can print these on paper to hand out to your class at the end of the lesson; pupils circle the correct answer and hand in as a great exit ticket or plenary to the lesson.
