Ever since my PGCE I have been convinced that every Maths topic has a unique and interesting way to be taught. 7 years later and I have collected and created 100s of resources to prove my point. All resources, including IB and A Level, are designed to be thoroughly engaging but yet cover every bit of content required with plenty of practise too. Teach LCM with the life of the Cicada bugs or teach proportions using celebrity faces and the golden ratio. All fully animated engaging powerpoints.

**Students will need around 5 plastic straws each, paper, sticky tape and scissors** A fully differentiated Geometry project on making optimum straw aeroplanes. Easy to carry it out in any way you wish. Can do it over 2 lessons or do it over 5. Three levels of difficulty are indicated by the colour of the straws in the slides. Different difficulties assume different understanding of various topics. Easy (green): Measurements, circumference (not calculating), area of rectangles, Mean Medium (yellow): above plus area of circles and area of triangles Hard (red): above plus volumes of cylinders and areas of trapeziums. Recommended for 11 to 14 year olds at the end of the year.

A fun couple of lessons to get students use to using their compass. I always use this lesson before starting the constructions unit. This resource demonstrates how to draw two different patterns and then encourages students to have a go at making their own crop circles. The patterns easily take up one lesson. The crop circles can be saved for another lesson later in the year.

Pretty simple. A Where's Wally picture with a coordinates grid pasted on the front. Can be used in a number of ways. I get students to crowed around the board and shout out the coordinates of various items I call out. The Powerpoint has a list of items to find plus the answers for the first 3 pictures. 3 more pictures to use as you wish.

Fun one-off lesson. Perfect for end of term fun lessons! Students get to buy and sell oil barrels using news items to aid their decisions. All explained clearly through the powerpoint. 3 different sets of news articles so potential to use it for 3 different lessons with the same class. Lasts around 45 minutes. Teachers use a clever excel spreadsheet that does all the calculations for them. If students make a mistake with their own calculations the spreadsheet will "fine" them and calculate their totals by itself.

Students have to compete to find the maths word that relates to the four questions. The answer to each question is a clue to the final word. If the student calls out the correct maths word after the first question they get 4 points. If they guess after the 2nd question they get 3 points and so on. Guess incorrectly then they are frozen out of that round. Contains 15 rounds but set up so you can create your own (or get students to make them!) very easily.

Absolutely everything you need to teach Circle Theorems. Intersecting Chords is not in the GCSE but nice extension for the top ability and is in the MEP. Guides students to write revision notes for each theorem and gives directed practise after each theorem is learnt (on powerpoint and on worksheet). I have written a number of mini tests to fit perfectly on to one sheet of A4 (I actually print them 2 to a page so A5!). These tests can be completed and peer marked in the same lesson and will be reused by you many many times over the years. Really easy to mark due to the layout of the test paper and the markschemes included. This test is particularly difficult looking at 3D trig and bearings. For SOHCAHTOA and Pythagoras please download the other test that focuses on the basics.

There are 4 codes from throughout history in which students need to break. Each code gets progressively harder leading to the final code of a simplified Enigma machine. It is impossible to solve a code if the previous one has not been cracked as each one provides vital clues for the next code. The final code (the simplifed enigma) once broken is a 3 digit number. This resource can be used in many different way. One way is buying a 3 digit combination lock and locking a box/locker full of prizes. Then send all students the presentation. Or send all students one code a week if you want to stretch it out more. The first slide needs to be edited to suit your plans.

A great lesson where students investigate the golden ratio proportions in the face. A 10 minute starter using the same concept with the hand helps introduce the idea. They can then look at how well celebrities fit the golden ratio. Finishes with a video that shows somebody using photoshop to make a face match the golden ratio grid (a link to youtube).

This escape room runs on OneNote so students will need access to a computer. As it is done using online OneNote I do not believe that they need an account for it. I have not had any issues using it with any of my students. The powerpoint is for teachers reference to help guide students when they get stuck. The only way I know to share this with students is using a share link which can be temperamental. I have put the share link at the start of the powerpoint. HOW IT WORKS: Send the share link to students. Each page represents a room which gives a code to access the password protected next page. Their aim is to access the final page. It works better in pairs. I have done it in 3 classes and the quickest has been 55 minutes. Content: I built this for my set 1 year 9s. The hardest maths involved will be equations with brackets on both sides.
