I have been teaching Biology for 20 years and I have struggled to find concise and engaging resources for teaching Biology, which is why I have set about creating my own.
I hope that my resources are enjoyed by your pupils and of course support their learning of such an interesting and great subject.

A clearly laid out and visual worksheet which focuses on the labelling of the parts of the fermenter and their roles.
The fermenter commonly comes up on GCSE Biology exam papers and this worksheet will help your students to get to grips with how the fermenter works, providing them also, on completion, with a clear and comprehensive revision resource.
A completed answer sheet is provided for the teacher and can be projected on the board when going through the sheet with students…
Visually appealing worksheet bundle for GCSE Biology students on the structure of the heart and lungs. Perfect for use when teaching the topics and also for revision purposes. The worksheets could even be used as a progress test on these topic areas. The worksheets should take approximately 10-15 minutes each to complete and pupils will be able to work independently through the activities.
There is a differentiated heart and lung structure worksheet for students who may benefit from extra support.
There is also answer sheets for the teacher, which is great for non-specialists teaching Biology in schools.
As a suggestion the worksheet could be laminated and pupils could complete the activities with OHP pens. The laminated sheets could then be cleaned for future use with other pupils. Otherwise the worksheet could be laminated after completion by pupils and used for display purposes in the classroom or for revision.
The first of three resource packs covering the Transport in Animals topic.
This resource pack contains a comprehensive 20 slide presentation with four worksheets to be completed by students as the presentation is worked through.

2.) Different types of circulatory system (including advantages and disadvantages of the different types)
3.) Structure and function of blood vessels with corresponding worksheet (1)
4.) Structure of blood vessels related to their function with corresponding worksheet (2)
5.) Exchange at capillaries with corresponding worksheet (3) - there is a support version provided too with the words given for students to complete the cloze activity if needed
6.) Formation of tissue fluid with corresponding worksheet (4) also includes mathematical calculations for the students on pressure
7.) Comparison of blood plasma, tissue fluid and lymph
Answers are given in the presentation to worksheets 1 and 2 and answers sheets are provided for worksheets 3 and 4.
The notes given with the presentation (seen under the slide when not in presentation mode) explain which worksheet should be used with which slide/s.
This resource pack should take approximately 2 hours to work through.
Although designed for OCR A students, the content is extremely similar for all A Level Biology specifications.
Resource packs 2 and 3 to follow shortly - these will cover the heart structure, cardiac cycle, coordination of the cardiac cycle and transport of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
This pack contains two crosswords, focusing on the lungs and gas exchange, and the heart. The crosswords are designed to help students to become more familiar with key terminology and definitions. This is an area students often struggle with due to confusion between similar terms. Completing the crosswords will help improve students' confidence with the many terms and meanings, associated with this area of the Biology syllabus.
Possible use could be as a plenary to the topic and/or set as a homework task.
Answers are provided for both crosswords for the teacher.
The biological drawing skill is an important one to develop in students and is assessed by a number of exam boards at GCSE, including CIE.

This resource is perfect for use in revision sessions or set as a homework task to complete. The answer sheets make it easy for self or peer marking to take place in the classroom too.
Knowledge organisers have become increasingly popular with both students and teachers alike. Research shows that students find them a much more effective tool to condense their topic notes, in order to learn the content for assessments. Even better is that the notes are laid out on one page, rather than over several pages in a textbook or revision guide.
The knowledge organiser has two versions, a completed version/answer sheet and a worksheet version, which allows pupils to be more active in their learning and complete diagram labelling/sentences/tables etc.
The knowledge organiser covers all of the gas exchange topic (topic 11) on the CIE IGCSE course and features the following subtopics:
Lung structure and function
Gas exchange and the adaptations of the alveoli
The process of ventilation
The effect of exercise on breathing
Make sure you print out on A3 paper
Thanks for looking.

A game of Bingo for practising time tables (1 - 12 inclusive) and making maths fun, with a competitive edge.
The game comes with 144 calling cards covering all of the times tables from 1x1, through to 12x12.
It also comes with 12 pre-prepared Bingo cards and additionally a blank Bingo card template so pupils can pick and fill in their own chosen numbers pre-game if you wish.
A detailed instruction sheet is provided on how to use the resource and play the game.
For optimal use, durability and longevity please laminate the bingo calling cards and pre-prepared bingo cards before cutting up (a guillotine is the fastest way to do this). OHP pens can be used to write on the laminated bingo cards and cleaned off with alcohol for reuse.
This resource features two multiple-choice packs, each pack contains 20 questions.

Use as a homework task for consolidation or assessment of prior knowledge of a topic
Multiple-choice challenge, where students either individually or in teams compete against one another to get the most correct answers (15 minutes is a good time allowance to give)
As an assessment (15-20 minutes)
For revision of a topic before an exam
Answers are provided (can be projected to go through the correct answers and allow pupils to self or peer mark), and also an answer grid for students to complete if you would rather reuse the question papers, rather than the students writing on them.
Buy the mitosis and meiosis activity packs together and get the posters for free.
The two activities on mitosis and mitosis are designed so that students can learn and identify the key stages and describe what happens in each stage for the two types of cell division.
The close activity included helps students to become more familiar with the key words used in the cell division topic.
Both activities can be completed by the students independently as the instructions are given on the sheets.
These activity packs are ideal for both teaching the topic and also as a revision aide for the students.
The posters are great for display around the classroom or to give to pupils for revision.
All sheets are provided in an A3 or A4 format. I would recommend printing the meiosis activity and poster on A3 paper if possible. This keeps all the stages of meiosis on one page, making it easier for students to compare the two different stages of meiosis with one another.
The GCSE Biology worksheet pack focuses on the topic of energy flow and feeding relationships. It is aimed at the CIE IGCSE course and covers topics 19.1 and 19.2.
