I designed this for the second step violence reduction programme where pupils use the 5 questions starter to guess what the lesson may be about. I use this activity as the assessment at the end of the supernatural science topic I teach but it makes a good one off lesson too. Basically, using the pack of cards that are included the pupils can test each other to see if they are psychic (normally one person holds the cards and asks the other person to guess what the top card is and then marks down whether they are right or wrong) Pupils then have to decide what percentage of answers you would need to get correct to be considered psychic, it goes on to look at card counting and statistics so there is a heavy focus on analysing data
