The question for this practice essay is: ‘As society becomes more sophisticated, there ceases to be a need for general rules. All justice should be individualised.’ Discuss. Sample of my essay: Individualising justice would only be feasible if the individuals themselves are as sophisticated as the society that encompasses them. The key term ‘sophisticated’ has room for interpretation - one might argue that it refers to a society with more refined, well-mannered people whilst another might argue that the term refers to the greater institutions and mechanisms in society, such as an increasingly efficient justice system. In this case, it is more applicable to believe that ‘sophisticated’ refers to the individuals themselves rather than society’s systems. ‘Individualised justice’ ensures that factors such as an individual’s circumstance and background are taken into account before punishments are meted out, meaning that rather than applying rules to fit all, ‘individualised justice’ considers…

A* Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) written in 2022. Comes with the entirety of my EPQ (9,404 words including the bibliography and appendixes), and feedback on where this EPQ could have further improved to score full marks.

A* A-Level English Literature Coursework currently used by my Sixth Form to as an example of an excellent English Literature Coursework Essay. It was moderated by the Edexcel Exam Board, which wanted to increase my marks for this essay. This 3,415 word-long essay includes analysis on Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. It is applicable to other books/novels to show the depth and level of analysis required to get an A*.

This is a handwritten essay I wrote to the question: ‘Explore how attitudes towards physical appearance are presented in ‘The Wife of Bath’s Prologue and Tale’ by referring to lines 469 - 478 and one other passage of similar length’. I received full marks (60/60) for the English Literature A-Level Paper 3 and I ranked first in my year for English Literature. I have received consistent A - A* for all my essays.
