PowerPoint to visually help children to use a 100 square to partition a 2-digit number into tens and units to add on. Plenary included for solving a word problem using the RUCSAC method.

Print each different grapheme on a different colour. Children take 1 of each grapheme and make a silly sentence using all 4 cards. They can then practice writing the sentence as an extension!

Planned to go alongside Year 1 Block A Unit 1 Week 2 - written addition and subtraction sums - focus on the numerical symbols (+, - and =) I made each one designed to be cut and stuck into Numeracy exercise books, as children not yet used to writing on squared paper!
