Pop these colourful and visual bookmarks in your classrooms or library for students to use in their books. This is a set of 12 individual bookmarks with the first lines of some modern young adult books. All books were published either late 2023 or early 2024 and are appropriate for KS3 and KS4 students. Want to encourage reading for pleasure in your school, which is actually linked to the PSHRE/PSHE curriculum? This resource could well be perfect for you! This resource contains nine different PSHRE themed A4 page posters. The titles include the following; Race Disabilities Wellbeing and Mental Health LGBTQA+ Faith, Spirituality and Religion School Life Home Life Hobbies The World Around Us On each page are 16 book covers with headers that are linked to that particular theme and are modern, noteworthy children’s books that would appeal to Key Stage 2 and 3 students. It is hoped that by reading about some of these books, students can identify with and see themselves with some of the characters, helping to deal with real life issues that they could be experiencing . The posters are also hoped to broaden their reading choices, as well as develop empathy and understanding. Accelerated Reader levels are also included. Print out and pop this stunning set of resources in classrooms, your school library or even the reception area so that parents and visitors can see how much you value reading and the wellbeing of your students.

As part of the English curriculum at GCSE is to study a Shakespeare play, this fab poster includes five of the plays that feature on the most popular exam boards for GSCE English, AQA and Edexcel. For each play, I’ve highlighted several modern teen and adult books that are based on that specific play. This poster is intended to grab students’ attention and potentially direct them to more modern and accessible texts with central themes from Shakespeare’s plays, in order to further aid learning and understanding. A3 Dyslexic-Friendly Book Recommendations Poster For Secondary Schools

Finding books to read that are suitable for young readers who have dyslexia can be difficult. But with this handy visual guide, you can ensure all of your pupils can access books and a joy of reading. This A3 colourful poster features 42 books, which are divided clearly into books for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. This is because many of the books for Key Stage 4 are classed as Young Adult. They all have Accelerated Reader scores, which increase in level the further down the page you go. The of the books are all written by renowned children’s authors. They are an inclusive and diverse set of books that I would gladly give as book recommendations. They are all suitable for dyslexic readers (buff paper, accessible layout, clear font), but can be read by anyone and are particularly great for reluctant readers who can feel overwhelmed by lots of text on a page. Pop this fab poster up in your shared spaces (reception, hall, corridors) or in classrooms in order to show and discuss books with students.
