Second part of Factor Theorem for my IGCSE Further pure maths, although easily adaptable for IB and A Level, this time on using the factor theorem when we have not been given any factor, before fully factorising by factorising a quadratic.
Starter task reminds of using the factor theorem to show if (x-a) is a factor
full examples given and follow up questions as well as evaluation tasks involving peer assessment.
hope you enjoy, please leave feedback (next time I will do remainder theorem)
I have taken some probability type questions (tree diagrams etc) and wrote them so that the key info is now hidden into revision questions.
The task is still to calculate the probabilities but now with extra work

End of year activity for year 10.
The maths consists of 4 rounds. There are 5 questions in each of the rounds, the rounds are number, algebra, shape and other.
The maths is challenging for lower ability but higher ability should be able to access most of it. A calculator can be allowed at your discretion
There is also a picture round, a general knowledge round and a catchphrase round. All answer are given either in the powerpoint or with the worksheets. If you want to change a round for a music round that works well. I have left the music (optional) for you to pick your own. In the general knowledge round there are 2 questions aimed at my current pupils (in Kazakhstan but they are easily changeable)
Hope you enjoy it please leave feedback
