I examine for CIE and have created these mock exam papers in line with their mark schemes. These are designed for the FIRST YEAR of the course, so include one 90 minute paper for January and one for June which is 2 hours - the idea is to build the students' skills in analysing text and writing about technical elements and acting. They are word files which are editable as they refer to practical projects the students complete. Both have detailed mark schemes and there are exemplar answers I have written for each question. I use these mark schemes to teach the students about the style required by the board in the written paper. Can be used in conjunction with my IGCSE Revision Guide.
I designed this SOW to link with our PSHCE Curriculum on running away and to prepare students for the devising units in the post 2016 GCSE Specifications. The resource contains all lessons, with all resources for handouts. Each lesson is guided through in a detailed powerpoint and the SOW covers some Frantic Assembly methodology and builds devising skills.

This is a 10 lesson resource for teaching the play 'Walking With Shadows' by Ben Myers. I have found that the play really engages Year 9 students as it focuses on mental illness, the super-natural and creates mystery. You will need a class set of this script to be able to teach this unit. All lessons have a detailed powerpoint, differentiated resources with AGT stretch and challenge. Lesson handouts and homework sheets are also provided. The scheme introduces Artaud, Immersive Theatre and other abstract theatrical devices - it is a great preparation for GCSE as written tasks are based on the new GCSE Specifications. All resources are in word/ppt format, allowing for your amendments.
This is a 14 lesson resource for teaching basic drama skills - Ideal for Year 6/7 or as an introduction to Drama - focusing on Myths, Legends and Fables. Freeze-frames, basic physical theatre, multi-role, initial script-work and characterisation are all covered within the scheme and there is a homework set for all lessons to extend the work. All lessons have a detailed powerpoint, differentiated resources with AGT stretch and challenge. Lesson handouts and homework sheets are also provided.
These two documents give A level students all the contextual information they need to revise for SECTION C of the 2016 Specification and SECTION B of the legacy Specification. Information is presented in a student friendly way. The Stage Action in Lysistrata document is useful for students who need extending to top band responses for Section B or need stretch and challenge in the final few lessons.
This one-off two hour workshop was written for Adults for an 'introduction to drama' session. You will need a good knowledge of Stanislavski's System to deliver this workshop.
This one-off workshop-style lesson is based on 'The Lesson' by Roger McGough. Aimed at Year 7/8, you will need a reasonably sensible class for this lesson!

This powerpoint guides students through the basics of Frantic's style, using building blocks from their book. This was designed for L6th students who have a already completed my SOW on Homelessness, where Frantic Assembly is introduced (this can be purchased on TES). The information on how Frantic use dialogue and words in their work is not expanded in this powerpoint as it has been covered in more detail in the homelessness scheme (designed for KS3/4). I also sell a tailored writing frame for Edexcel Component 1, which links to this powerpoint and is tailored to support Devised work in the style of Frantic Assembly.
