Manners Booklets and BOOM cards Distance Learning
About the Booklets:
Students will be so excited to assemble their own books! The instructions are so easy which will make the book assembly smooth for everyone. There are five books included and each book has about twelve pages. The book names are: being responsible, using my voice, hands to self, saying thank you, and answering to my name.
Each book will teach children a different type of manner and examples of how to use them. At the end of each book there are question for students to reflect.
A little summary about each book:
Being Responsible - This book will teach that you can be responsible with objects.
Using my Voice - Will show students when it is right to be loud and when it is appropriate to be quiet.
Hands to Self - Knowing how to keep your hands by your side and what to do when you need to grab something.
Saying Thank You - Using our voice to convey appreciation in different circumstances.
Answering to My Name - This book will allow them to understand why it is important to answer with “yes sir” or “yes ma’am.”
Allow discussion to flourish in your classroom with these books!
These booklets are great for students at the beginning of the year and even throughout the year as they get used to their peers but should also get used to being kind, thoughtful, and keeping their manners.
About the BOOM cards:
These BOOM cards will go through different scenarios in which students will pick a course of action which will allow them to show their manners. The scenarios here will encourage students in the future to be more mindful and more respectful of themselves, peers, and surroundings. Based on my 5 mini printable books using my voice, saying thank you, answering to my name, hands to self, and being responsible. You don’t need the books for the student to complete the BOOM cards but it is preferable as they know what it is expected of them in such scenarios.
Enjoy!
