Creating retrieval practice lesson starter slides is one of my least favorite things to do - yes it’s easy, but it’s so tedious! So I collected all my Fast 4 slides together in one easy place so I can adapt and reuse instead of starting from scratch every time. Simply copy and paste the slide and tweak as needed.

Enjoy this FREE pack of images to use as prompts for math talk. I use these as lesson starters to to make connections between learning, but they also work well as plenaries or challenges for children who finish early.
Consider asking questions such as:
“What maths can you see?”
“What do you notice?”
“What trick is this picture playing?”
This is a great resource to promote oracy and support students who are English language learners. Can be used across KS1 and KS2.
Slides are tagged with a few suggestions of relevant maths units.
None of the images are my own, hence this being a free resource. I struggled to find these types of images to share with students and wanted to have them all in one place. Images sourced from a wide range of sources, including free WRM materials, Diagnostic Questions and Power Maths. I was not able to trace the origins of most images and can remove them if needed.
This file contains both a SmartNotebook file and a PowerPoint file
