French Telling the Time Sentence Builder
A sentence builder to help students tell the time in French, with examples. Can be adapted to suit different classes/abilities.
Bundle
GCSE German Holidays Bundle
This bundle contains 4 sentence builders and 1 reading comprehension activity. The sentence builders are designed to be used both individually and collectively. They enable students to talk about holidays using four different tenses (present, past, future and conditional) and are easily adaptable.
The reading comprehension complements the sentence builders and consists of two narrow reading texts which include all four tenses. There are two differentiated versions of the reading comprehension - one for foundation candidates and another for higher tier candidates.
GCSE German Sentence Builder Holidays Conditional Tense
The aim of this sentence builder is to enable students to practice using more complex sentences in the conditional tense using a ‘wenn’ clause. It is particularly useful for helping them to learn some set phrases. This complements the vocabulary in the Stimmt! Higher AQA textbook and is easily adaptable.
KS3/GCSE German Sentence Builder Holidays Future Tense
This sentence builder is easily adaptable and could be used with either KS3 or GCSE groups. It helps students to use the future (werden and vorhaben) and conditional (möchten) tense in the first person singular and plural to talk about where they will/would like to go on holiday, who with (using mit + dative case) and where they will/would like to stay (using in + dative case).
KS3/GCSE German Sentence Builder Holidays Present Tense
This sentence builder can be used for KS3 or GCSE groups. It enables students to use the present tense to say where they usually go on holiday, who they go with (using mit + dative case) and how they get there.
KS3 / GCSE German Sentence Builder Weather + Activities in Town
This sentence builder can be used for either KS3 or GCSE groups. It helps students to use ‘wenn’ to describe what activities they do with different weather. It is a useful way of familiarising students with word order when using ‘wenn’ clauses. It also provides the opportunity for students to add extra detail, incorporating ‘um…zu + infinitive’. This end column could be deleted for lower ability groups.
KS3/GCSE German Sentence Builder Where I Live
This sentence builder can be used for KS3 or GCSE groups. It helps students to describe in detail where they/other people live using different present tense forms of the verb ‘wohnen’. In enables students to say who they/other people live with using mit + dative case.
