CB8a lesson from the new Edexcel combined science GCSE (9-1) all about efficient transport and exchange. The lesson includes which substances are taken in by the body and which are excreted, a recap on diffusion, how exchange surfaces are adapted to increase the rate of diffusion, Surface Area: Volume ratio, alveoli and a recap on root hair cells. There is one task near the end of the lesson which requires the use of the ActiveTeach worksheets but could easily be missed out or swapped for other available worksheets.
