Chapter 2 unit from the OCR Biology A A-Level all about basic components of living systems. The unit was planned with the intention of carrying out flipped learning whereby students do pre-reading on the topic prior to the lesson so that we can consolidate that learning with activities/exam questions during the lesson. Including: 2.1 Microscopy (split into two lesson due to half of lesson one being used to introduce the course to new year 12 students. Could easily be grouped together as one though). 2.2 Magnification and Calibration (tasks involve the use of a maths skills in biology text book but could be swapped out for other textbooks/worksheets you have available). 2.3 More Microscopy 2.4 Eukaryotic Cell Structure 2.5 The Ultrastructure of Plant Cells 2.6 Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells
