Watching TV may seem obsolete now with the easy access to the Internet. However, our students still watch TV and different different TV programs. How about teaching some vocabulary about TV shows then while reinforcing opinions and introducing the near future tense? Teaching French is not just about the language, it’s about all the cultural heritage that surrounds it. That said, finding ways to interest our students about geography, history and cultural heritage can be tricky. I have designed this resource with my class of teenagers in mind who need to know more about France. I would suggest you use it with a group of intermediate/advanced students as all the questions are in French. Don’t worry, the answers are provided to give your students all the autonomy they need to play. You can use these speaking cards as a starter to check how much they know about the topic and you can use the boardgame with some dice to roll. That’s up to you and your needs! The International Day of Woman is just around the corner and as March is celebrated as Women's History Month, let’s talk to our students about women’s achievements.
