A real and alien word sorting game to help children prepare for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Visually appealing and engaging for young children - Can they blend the phonemes to work out whether it is a real word or an ‘alien’ word? All words have been taken from previous Phonics Screening Checks. It is recommended that the sorting mats are printed onto A3, and the words printed onto A4.
