This is an opportunity to introduce an engaging unit of work based on 'The Beatles'. The final task focuses on writing an interview text between a reporter and a member of 'The Beatles'. This resource is aimed at upper KS2 pupils (Years 5&6) but could also be used with years 7&8. There are good opportunities for focused research on the musician of your choice. This resource also includes a highly stimulating initial PowerPoint presentation, suggestions for success criteria, a model interview script with Sir Paul McCartney and a KWL grid. This resource will take several sessions to complete and all materials can be modified to suit your needs.

This is an opportunity to introduce an engaging unit of work based on writing the biography of a significant children's author. This resource is aimed at upper KS2 pupils (Years 5&6) but could also be used with years 7&8. There are opportunities for focused research, proof reading, writing in chronological order and producing a final piece of biographical writing. This resource also includes a highly stimulating initial PowerPoint presentation, suggestions for success criteria, a national reading test style comprehension and a KWL grid. This resource will take several weeks to complete and all materials can be modified to suit your needs.
