A series of activities to investigate the uses of key sites in South Wales during WW2 using carefully chosen aerial photos. Images of 1940’s locations and modern day equivalents are included. A full unit of work based around creating a talent show - This is a rich task aimed at embracing the principles of the new curriculum. This resource includes an engaging set of activities which have been tried and tested in the classroom in KS2, but could be used with other age groups. A comparison is made between 1960’s talent shows and the modern day format. This was used at the end of a topic based around the 1960’s.

Pupils measure the shapes (1960’s objects) on the worksheets and calculate the perimeter in decimals. The images are popular 1960’s icons and memorabilia.
