My students totally love this resource and play it constantly to revise these key individuals. The cards are a set of 24 key individuals from the History of Medicine and is suitable for all exam boards. They can use them to quiz each other, as flash cards and to play the classic game of top trumps. Half the time they don’t even know they are revising which is great!
I have included both the publisher and pdf versions so you can edit if you wish or create more cards. I have also added a blank version with just names and pictures so students can add the information for each individual themselves as part of their revision. I have also added blank card in case they want to add further individuals.

Designed for the AQA 9-1 GCSE Germany 1890-1945 unit, this revision worksheet and answer sheet helps students to actively recall key events and check their answers independently.
It can be challenging to create effective revision tasks that foster independence, encourage active recall while also covering enough detailed content. This resource is designed to help students revise effectively whether in lesson or at home to make them ready for their exam.
When you download you get:
• A two-sided revision worksheet including everything on the specification
• An answer sheet that can be used as a summary of each event or for students to check their knowledge quickly and efficiently
• All sheets can be printed A4 or enlarged to A3
Once you have downloaded this product, print out the worksheet and enlarge to A3. Students could use the black and red pen technique to actively recall what they can remember in black pen, using the event headings as a prompt. Then with a red pen they can use the answer sheet to add anything they have missed. This will clearly highlight the areas they need to work on, as well as being desirably difficult to help strengthen their memory of this unit.

This resource contains knowledge organisers for Germany AQA History with key terms, key knowledge and key questions for students to test their recall. They come in two documents 1890-1929 and 1929-1945, but are also sub-divided inside into smaller sections so you can break down revision into smaller more manageable chunks. You will also receive corresponding quizzes for both knowledge organisers in both straight recall and multiple choice format, all with answer keys.
These versatile resources can be used at home and in class for students to revise and test their knowledge, with active recall being key to strengthening long term memory. You can also increase the level of recall using the multiple choice quizzes initially and later the straight recall style quiz.
Learning to write like a historian is a key skill our students need to learn and often find it tricky to master. Many History departments use PEE paragraphs to help students structure their answers. These literacy mats give students support with how to write PEE paragraphs and provide continuous subtle differentiation as well as challenge to all to improve their explanations.
