This is a brilliantly fun way to celebrate attendance in school. Once you have entered class names (8 spaces for the Key Stage) and attendance for each in percent, in slideshow mode the PPT runs for 30 seconds automatically. It sends rockets to the moon with the highest placed being highest attendance. It then announces each percentage in order (for each class) and a banner then comes across the screen to congratulate the highest attending class for the week/ term. It is simple, interactive and very fun for children to follow during whole school assemblies! Enjoy!

What a fantastic resource! Wanting to inspire, uplife and motivate my pupils each day I prepared this PPT file which contains 190 inspirational quote. They are taken from a huge number of sources and will inspire and motivate you and your pupils alike! With 190 examples this should cover every day of the school year :) Enjoy, it took quite a while to prepare!!

This resource is a fun way of interweaving WW2 study and famous authors together to create a more interesting approach for pupils. It covers the early life of Roald Dahl over 6 weeks and includes all resources, activities and Notebook files. It details events such as hisearly life and his participation in WW2 and his famous crash as a fighter pilot. It also includes a diary writing activity to add some detailed assessed writing in to the topic. Suitable for both Years 3&4.

This is a gem of a resource. This lesson pack contains your lesson plan, a Smartboard for use, visual help sheets for LA children, peer work, differentiated worksheets, a video stimulus and a WAGOLL for a lesson which I have used in observations and for Ofsted at least twice receiving an outstanding grade (in old money)… The lesson asks children to practice applying appealing adjectives and then to promote an underwater diving experience creating their own posters (differentiated). It can be easily upgraed (as I have done) to include/ interweave relative clauses and other grammar skills quite for those more able pupils. It is open ended giving all children the chance for great success against the LO/ success criteria (also contained within!).

This file contains 10 simple independent writing lessons on Smart Notebook files. They comprise a range of genres including newspapers, letter writing, discussion text, biography, narrative, persuasive writing & setting description. There are a series of warm up/ sentence structure activities for each lesson and including writing time are fully planned/ prepped for between 1hr and 1hr 15minutes each! I combine these with a simple planning sheet to help my pupils organise their ideas and usually scaffold the children by allowing them to do this in HA-LA pairs where possible. Great as an independent revision tool for pupils, this resource contains both the spelling lists for Yr3-6 and all the correct SPaG terminology, definitions and examples needed in upper KS2 in a glossary/ dictionary style. I copy this each year for each pupil in my class as an A5 booklet to use independently to revise/ remind themselves of terminology.

Useful as an easy starting point/ lesson for fractions and for children to understand what each number within a fraction means (numerator and denominator). Simple explanations/ diagrams are prepared for you and some AfL questions to help start the assessment/ activities part of the lesson too.
