Why buy from me? I have been fine tuning my resources since 2018, regularly updating them with trial and error through real teaching. Most do not require printing and can be used at the last minute (we've all been there!). Clear information, engaging and often differentiated tasks, that have been tried and tested. And most importantly - I include ANSWERS! :) Thank you for supporting my tes shop, I hope you find something useful here

Bbalancing equations lesson KS3 GCSE

(0)
I use this lesson to teach balancing equations at KS3 (Y9 level) or low demand/recap at GCSE The equations are not too difficult, increase in difficulty, I model the first couple Use whiteboards for them to do their working out on - it helps a lot All equations have the answers on the next slide Hope it helps! Check out my other lessons for sale :)
KS3 Acids and metal carbonates equations
jessicasand91jessicasand91

KS3 Acids and metal carbonates equations

(0)
Lesson to practice completing equations for acids and metal carbonates Recap task tests prior knowledge of metal reactions with acid, and neutralisation reactions Ideal alongside a practical or demo of metal carbonates in acid All answers on next slides to tasks
Group 0/8 The noble gases KS3 GCSE chemistry
jessicasand91jessicasand91

Group 0/8 The noble gases KS3 GCSE chemistry

(0)
KS3 chemistry and/or low demand GCSE/recap Recall task, properties and electronic structure of noble gases and how this relates to their function (particular use of argon in lightbulbs, and helium in balloons) plenary quiz
KS3 Making electromagnets
jessicasand91jessicasand91

KS3 Making electromagnets

(0)
Lesson to accompany a practical making electromagnets You are investigating how the strength of an electromagnet depends on the electric current passing through its coil. You are going to count the number of pins the electromagnet picks up when it has an increasing number of coils around it. You will complete: Hypothesis (with explanation) Independent, dependent and control variables Equipment and diagram Method Results table Graph Conclusion Evaluation The lesson provides information, support and modelling at all stages of the investigation
KS3 Neutralisation
jessicasand91jessicasand91

KS3 Neutralisation

(0)
Full lesson with plenty of alternative tasks as well as most have answers Also optional practical slides (how many drops to neutralise acid) Lesson includes neutralisation equations, uses in real life, mindmap task, news article of overturned lorry carrying acid task, example test questions. Thank you for supporting me, please check out my other lessons too

GCSE Chemistry module summary course subject knowledge enhancement SKE

(0)
I created this as part of a SKE (subject knowledge enhancement) course prior to teacher training (I passed) It summarises the entire GCSE chemistry course in 120 slides. Contents: Earth and Atmosphere The structure of matter & quantitative chemistry The Periodic Table Chemical reactions Acids, bases and salts Metals Energy in chemical reactions Industrial inorganic chemistry Organic chemistry Petrochemicals and polymers Chemical analysis and investigation If you are new to teaching, this will help brush up your subject knowledge. It could also be used as a valuable revision resource. Hopefully you find it useful, as I spent a lot of time making it!
KS3 Metal properties and boiling points
