Simple key to stick into books that children can use to underline/ colour code language features (adjectives, adverbs, nouns and powerful verbs) in a piece of text or use it to assess their own writing.
Simple child friendly peer assessment checklist that children can use for a range of speaking and listening activities such as role play, group work, presentations and performances.
This key/ checklist can be used by children to annotate a letter and find a range of language features. They can colour code the boxes in the key and underline the language features in the text according to the corresponding colour.
I created this sorting activity when I introduced newspapers/ recount topic in year 4. The word doc is printed out in colour and then cut up so that the children can sort and match the features with the corresponding explanation. In addition, I used this resource to help children identify the key features in real newspaper articles.
Great resource to help children with persuasive writing for and against. I have shrunk the resource into A5 so that it can be kept inside books for children to refer back to during a unit of work.
Two versions of leaflet templates that I have used in English, History and Geography. You need to print the leaflet templates back to back on one page.
