Use the PowerPoint to show what Euro coins and notes look like (including German, French and Spanish coins) and the worksheet to practise recognising euros and writing prices in the target language. The example and the answers are in German but otherwise the worksheet can used in any language.
A presentation of different genres of films in German that can be used as a quiz. There are six rounds including recognising genres from posters, reading film descriptions and listening to trailers. This Murder Mystery is designed to run alongside Studio AQA GCSE Higher/Foundation Chapter 1 “Qui suis-je”, (and can be be adapted for Edexcel version) This project is intended to complement/ replace exercises from the text book and will link the pages together into one thrilling crime story. My students ask every lessons if they will find out today ‘whodunit’, especially as there is a prize for the best detective!
The project should not take up much more time than using the book on its own as some tasks can replace text book tasks and get students to revise the text book vocabulary in a different context.

To practise speaking more the rule is that they have to start the sentence from the beginning and keep going until they use a phrase their partner hasn’t chosen. Similar to battleships but with a longer sentence.
