This resource contains five detailed and thorough timelines for each part of the specification. On each timeline are five separate themes - Understanding of disease and medicine, Public Health, Surgery, Role of Women, and Impact of War and Technology. The knowledge is specifically for the IGCSE Pearson Edexcel course. These have proved very popular with my students, especially with planning exam-style questions and improving chronological understanding. A big time saver!

Democracy and Nazism AQA Resources

Various resources for the AQA course Democrcay and Nazism. The revision guides are very thorough, many hours have been spent making these. They are more like thorough teacher notes with precise detail, historians quotes, summary diagrams and exam focus. The reading list has a breakdown of the course along with suggested reading (not just the textbook). This is useful for revision. The Easter Revision resources has various activities to help students analysis of the key themes in the course. There is also knowledge tests included which are influenced by research that has shown low-stakes testing is proven to improve subject knowledge (9 quizzes altogether). This will save teachers many hours of planning.

OCR SHP B: Crime and Punishment - Overview of society 1500-1750

This resource follows the same format as the lesson focused on the overview between 1250-1500. Pupils complete a 'clock sheet' with the various key features that was typical for this period. This resource has been differentiated on some sections of the clock sheet to help pupils access the reading. Pupils then highlight the key changes and continuities. After these two tasks, pupils listen to a podcast (accessed through the dynamic learning website) and note down the key social, political and religious changes. This lesson is a good 'way in' to this period.

OCR SHP 1-9: Crime and Punishment Timeline 1250-Present - use as handouts or as a display.

This resource has a thorough timeline of the Crime and Punishment course for OCR SHP 1-9. However, it can be easily amended for other boards. The timeline is split into 4 parts - 1250-1500, 1500-1750, 1750-1900 and 1900-present. There is Blue line and information for crimes, red for law enforcement and green for punishments. It is a very effective overview and cuts the course down simply for students. Students like these a lot as the can easily see key changes and continuities, and also the 5 key factors they have to analyse in each period.

AQA Democracy and Nazism: Hitler's Appointment timeline worksheet

This resource was created to help students understand the events leading up to Hitler’s appointment. The Bruning, Papen and Schleicher chronology can be difficult for some students to process but this timeline worksheet has helped massively. I use it with the textbook and the revision guides I have made for the students. When it is filled in, students can clearly see why each chancellor before Hitler’s appointment failed to stabilise the economic and political situation in Germany.
