This worksheet is for gravitational potential energy, GPE, calculations at GCSE. It contains a pupil worksheet with blanks and a teachers sheet with answers.
This is a standard format for physics calculations, to be used in class to introduce and practise each formula. These have been honed on lower set pupils and allows differentiation in the following way:
Page 1 Notes and examples completed with the teacher
Page 2 Table, allows pupils to practise using the formula and maniuplating it
Page 2 Table, higher order skills for stronger pupils include s.f. and prefixes
Page 2 Questions, these get harder as you work down the questions.
The expectation is that this activity can stop when some pupils have finished the final questions, as this will still have allowed all pupils to practise problem solving. The answers can be given so pupils can complete questions for revision at the end of the top if they didn’t complete all the questions in class.
There is a pdf version and a .docx version that is editable.

This booklet contains all the GCSE Physics formula that need to be memorised. There is a worksheet for the formulas and they were created and then honed on weaker pupils who find it challenging to apply mathematics in Physics. The familiar format used for each topic with formulae puts the pupils at ease and they feel comfortable in using new formula in this way. The completed sheet is also included for the teachers reference. To differentiate, stronger pupils can start at the end and work backwards. Weaker pupils can then complete the first page with the teacher and try to complete the table overleaf.
This KS3 Mindmap with blanks is perfect for revision at the end of the topic, either in class or for homework and self study. This has the new language using energy stores and energy pathways. There are three files:
Pupils mindmap about the Energy topic with blanks (pdf)
An editable version in powerpoint of the pupils mindmap with blanks (pptx)
A teachers version with the answers in. (pdf)
There are mindmaps on all KS3 and KS4 topics. There are resources with these all bundled together as well for ease.
These are other KS3 Physics Mindmap for Electricity, Energy, Forces and Motion and a bundle of all of them together
