Christmas Maths - Form Equations Worksheet
A Christmas style maths worksheet that provides a variety of questions for being able to form expressions and equations based on given information (e.g. a number + 7 = 25, which equation matches the information or creating their own expression based on models and word problems) but using Christmas related images for a majority of the questions for Year 6 based on the White Rose Maths objectives but that can easily be used in other year groups.
Included as part of the worksheet are eight different questions that provide variation to check understanding through the use of different question types.
There is also an extension task that provides challenge with a further 4 questions.
Answers are also included for all questions.
This worksheet can easily be used as a worksheet when teaching the objective or used for recap/ revision or even to be sent home as homework as a fun Christmas activity.
Diary Draft Writing Frame
A sheet that children can use to draft a diary entry that includes key focus points and a mini self-assessment at the end to check they have the key features. This is then followed by a second page for children to redraft their writing on that gives them some key focus points when redrafting.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
A Powerpoint that looks at the relationship between addition and subtraction and between multiplication and division.
Useful as an introduction or a recap for children, exploring the links between operations as well as introducing algebraic links for children and the way in which the equals sign can move about fluidly. Includes questions for children to try and solve, with some being more complex than others.
Homophones - There, their and they're
A worksheet that gets children to practise using the correct version for there, their and they're. Included are 14 sentences where they need to make a decision on which the correct version is. Also included is the answer page so they can then check themselves afterwards and see where they may have gone wrong.
Skellig Comprehension Booklet
Eight lessons worth of resources for reading comprehension linked to the book Skellig. Included are a range of different skills, including inference, retrieval and vocabulary as well as work on the front cover and back cover to support making predictions about the book. Within the booklet are two different short extracts from the story with the following activities linking to that extract before the new one is introduced. (Any blank pages are for printing it as a booklet that is 2-sided)
Year 6 - Addition and Subtraction Reasoning Questions
A bank of questions from previous SATs papers including the sample tests that focus on addition and subtraction. These have all been pulled from the reasoning papers so they can be used to challenge children’s understanding or can be used as a mini-assessment of how children are with addition and subtraction.
Year 5/6 Spelling Test
A spelling test based on words from the Year 5/6 statutory spelling list. There are 20 spellings used in sentences to try and replicate the Year 6 spelling test, with the answer page being used by the adult to read out the spelling.
KS2 SEN Adjectives Worksheet
A worksheet on adjectives for SEN children who are working below ARE by quite a bit. Included are four different pictures with the start of the sentence provided with the aim then being that children write different sentences about the pictures using adjectives at the end e.g. The cat is cute.
Relative Clause Worksheets - Deeper Thinking
Two worksheets on relative clauses that get children to think more deeply about relative pronouns and clauses rather than just identifying them or creating sentences using them. A good mastery tool for those children who are working comfortably within the Year 5 and 6 curriculum.

Included in the presentation is work on adjectives, the link for the clip, questions for children to answer (and answers my children came up with) and a small example of being able to write a description of one character as if he is two different people.
