This worksheet is to introduce pupils to the expression &'combien de&'; and 'il y a&' The images chosen are black and white and therefore will photocopy clearly. Children can be given instructions of what colour to colour the different objects. There is plenty of space for pupils to write in the missing words.

A fun way to practise the names of animals in French. However could in fact be used for any language. An extension to simply naming the animals, could be to practise the phrase J'ai un chat, J&'ai une souris etc.. Colours could also be mentioned or even the size of the animal.
