FRENCH - AUTUMN - EN AUTOMNE JE VOIS...
An introduction to autumn vocabulary in French. There is a gap-fill vocabulary sheet with 12 pictures. There is a further worksheet for revising numbers and colour. Adult says how many objects have to be coloured and what colour they are to use. Follow on graduated gap fill worksheet introduces the expression ‘Je vois… and J’entends… .’ There is also another graduated worksheet where the colour is missing. Revision worksheet to revise the expressions - 'Qu'est-ce que tu as dans ton sac' OR 'Qu'est-ce qu'il y a dans ton sac?' To make it a game I gave my children 5 mins to draw and name as many objects or animals as they could. They were to name nouns in the plural form as well as in the singular from. When the time was up, they worked in pairs, asking each other what they had or what there was in their bag. They replied with either 'Dans mon sac j'ia...' or 'Dans mon sac il y a .'.

Snakes & ladders - Daily routine
Board game using reflexive verbs describing a daily routine. Rules are slightly different to the usual ones. The difference being is that if a child lands on a snake and they are able to say the phrase describing the picture then they do NOT have to slither down the snake but remain on the square and continue around the board.

Flashcards showing 32 fabulous ‘life-like’ images of animals. French animal names have also been included. Animals include: pets, farm animals, wild animals, insects and others. Animal names could be stuck on the back of the flashcards. Children are shown a picture, which they have to name the animal. Card is then turned over to reveal the word.
