All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/12/idioms-connecting-text-and-text-meaning_59.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com An idiom is a phrase that, when taken as a whole, has a meaning you wouldn’t be able to work out from the meanings of the individual words. In this simple activity learners have to try and match an idiom with the correct meaning. To help the learners understand this concept if they correctly match the pairs the “meaning” will turn yellow, if not it will turn red. It means that learners can move the “meanings” around until they match the correct pair. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. They are created as TEMPLATES for you to adapt and add your own content. The screenshots can be downloaded simply as worksheets. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. Contact me at : learnanytime@gmail.com

The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/11/homophones-odd-one-out-pictures-5a.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com 15 visible pictures of homophones in a grid. As learners click on the 7 pairs they can find they disappear leaving one Odd One Out. Most of my activities are based around pictures as I am a visual learner. I created a set of screenshots from a series of video clips which included a picture, the name and the meaning of a series of homophones. With the second set I removed the title and with the third set I removed the meaning of the words. Leaving me with 3 sets of pictures [a], [b] and [c] providing an opportunity to create the same activity for 3 different levels of difficulty. I can create a download of all of the pictures used in this series of activities if required, just let me know. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2020/08/matching-part-sentences-compound.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com JIGWORD is a simple piece of coding where you have three columns of frames. In the first is the sentence beginning, in the third is the sentence ending and the middle is where the two are combined. A simple change of text colour coding can change this to a TESTING activity.
