Instructions:
Children should read the short story 3 times. Each time they colour one star at the bottom.

Children read (with support from an adult) the questions and highlight the answers in the story.
Then they write the correct answer on the lines provided.
The CVC Workbook is the perfect tool to help children master the fundamentals of reading. With 11 worksheets, this workbook is ideal for teachers or parents who are looking to help their students or children improve their reading skills through CVC words.
CVC words are made up of three sounds: a consonant, a vowel and another consonant. They are the building blocks of reading and help children learn the basics of blending sounds to form words. Children start learning their letter sounds in reception and then begin blending sounds to read words, starting with CVC words. This workbook provides ample practice opportunities for children to hone this critical skill.
In the CVC Workbook, children will have the chance to practice reading CVC words that contain consonants such as g, b, d, and h, as well as the remaining vowels e, o, and u. By learning to decode and read these words, children will develop the ability to blend individual sounds and read entire words with ease.
Take a look at the preview to get a better understanding of what is included in this comprehensive workbook. Whether you’re using it at home or in the classroom, the CVC Workbook is an excellent resource to help children become confident readers.
