Revision sheets designed to help students revise topics in under an hour and sub topics in 10/20 minutes. Aimed at students who do little or no revision and students who struggle with where to start. Also acts as a checklist for the content for Eduqas / WJEC religious studies 1-9 GCSE.

A cycle of work lasting 2-4 lessons (depending on which resources are used) looking at the ummah, six articles of faith, The five roots of religion in Usal ad-Din in Shi’a Islam, differences between Sunni and Shi’a as well as overlapping key beliefs etc. For Islam - Beliefs and Teachings Eduqas 1-9 GCSE. There is the option of using BBC’s documentary on Muslims like us, which whilst produced to make ‘good television’ contains some good topics for debate and some good background information.

Christianity - Agape, Reconciliation and Forgiveness. This unit is approximately 8-10 lessons. It is a booklet and corresponding PowerPoint designed to be taught by specialists and non specialists. They are made on PowerPoint, so that they can be edited to suit your needs and students.

A 2-3 lesson cycle covering euthanasia. It explores students views to different forms of euthanasia and the potential impacts on society. It then explores religious views on euthanasia before looking at a famous rugby player whose faith helped him until the end. The cycle finishes by looking at different case studies and what different people, including the students feel about them. All resources included in PPT and video link suggestions etc. too. Can be used for GCSE or KS3.

Human Rights GCSE Religious Studies (designed for Eduqas)/Wjec). This is a work pack and PowerPoint which we use for the whole unit, including human rights, prejudice and discrimination and wealth and poverty. It is designed for use by our trained RE teachers and non-specialists. Can also be used for long term cover. As the booklet/work pack is a PowerPoint the resource is adaptable to suit individuals, or to add/remove content. The unit contains Human Rights, Social Justice, Personal Conviction, Censorship, Extremism, Prejudice, Discrimination, Wealth and Poverty. It has been designed to be taught from a Christian and Muslim perspective.

A cycle of learning to begin the Issues of Good and Evil topic for Eduqas Religious Studies Route A. Approximately 2 lessons worth of content. Explores issues about what makes an action wrong, how religious people make moral decisions, relative and absolute morality, the train (trolley) problem. All resources can be found included in the PowerPoint.

Intro to Human Rights - Issues of Human Rights Eduqas Religious Studies. Contains introduction to human rights, Christian views on the rights of people and teachings associated with this. Approximately 1-2 lessons.

Creation in Christianity - Issues of Life and Death Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9. Includes different Christian ideas about creation as well as the design argument and the argument from causation. At least 2 lessons worth if not 3 or more. Explores creationists as well as non literal Christians.

Creation in Islam - Issues of Life and Death Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9. Includes different Muslim ideas about creation approximately 1 lesson worth. Includes exam question and modeled answer.

Religious Attitudes to the Environment - Issues of Life and Death Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9. Includes different religious attitudes towards the environment e.g. stewardship and khalifah. Approximately 1/2 lessons.

A cycle of learning looking at marriage for Issues of Relationships Eduqas Religious Studies Route A. Approximately 2/3 lessons worth of content. Can be done as experiential and students act out marriage. Explores what happens in a Christian wedding and Muslim attitudes to marriage. Textbook potentially helpful.

Jesus - Christianity. Approximately 3 lessons of content in a cycle of learning that looks at the concept of Jesus. It explores the student’s attitudes before looking at a variety of beliefs about Jesus.

Shirk - Islam. A 1-2 lesson cycle of learning exploring what students value and the difference these things make before looking at Muslim beliefs about Shirk and why it is important.

A PowerPoint considering some of the main issues for the General Election 2019 - Key Priorities, NHS and Care, Economy and Taxes, Education, Housing and Transport and Environment. Students will then have the chance to vote based on policies (parties not revealed until the end). Parties included are: Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, Brexit (no SNP as I teach in a school in England). PPT consists of: Why should people vote? Why some people choose not to vote.
