A fun way to introduce verbs! A worksheet for pupils who have just learned their -ar verb endings in Spanish. Begins with examples of a 'verb flower' and a 'verb octopus'. Pupils then have to complete their own, draw their own and create their own memory aid for -ar verbs. They can finish by colouring them in.

It contains parallel texts looking at the synopsis, a trapped door task and sentence builders to give opinions on the film and a question about Day of the Dead which could be homework or lead into a research project/ next lesson.

A generic lesson (for any language) that looks at different reasons to learn a language. Involves discussion and analysis of key ideas, comprehension and justification of ideas. We used this as a buffer before our language groups were set. Can also be used for European Day of Languages or cross curricular English/PSHE/Languages.

A whole lesson introducing the vocabulary to what music pupils listen to, with a French music 'X Factor' activity. The worksheet allows pupils to make 'judges' comments about the French songs, before writing up formal feedback and having a panel discussion. Final task is to write a paragraph about what music pupils listen to using opinions learned in lesson. Peer assessment slide included.
