Currently work in the Youth Justice Service developing programmes of intervention for young people in the service.
Past experience working as a teacher of Art and Graphics in a young offenders institute, teacher in alternative provision education specialising in SEMH & SEND, and mainstream secondary teacher of Design Technology and Art & Design.
I pride myself on creating visually appealing resources with interesting content that appeals to young people who are disengaged from education.

A series of key words / terminology displayed in categories relating to Art & Design, Photography and Graphic Design
Taken from the AQA GCSE website
Perfect blown up on display - can be copied onto coloured paper for effect, or even placed in sketchbooks as a daily reference
NCFE Level 1 Award in Graphic Design command words display / poster
I designed this to display on my wall to help learners with the command words commonly used, to ensure they successfully meet the assessment criteria
Also relevant for GCSE Art & Design - happy to edit the document, please just message me!
A very simple key words match-up activity based on Op Art. Perfect for a starter activity, or even to use at the end of a lesson to check learning has taken place.
A poster I designed to support learners on the NCFE qualifications and to help them understand the expectations within different learning objectives and assessment criteria.
I have also uploaded a Performing Arts and Graphic Design version.
A learner friendly peer feedback slip designed for use in an Art & Design lesson (with a project focused around Robots, however the design is very neutral and suitable for a variety of subject areas!)
A great tool for formative assessment and a way to encourage learners to work together and respect each other (British Values).
A simple question sheet I produced for a class who were learning about Michael Craig Martin. This worked well as a starter and the class liked the competition element. I have also included the answers.
This is a simple slip that I created to help monitor learner progress and to evidence learning that has occurred in the classroom.
This could be printed out small and handed out at the start / end of a lesson. You may want to create a display of them.
Feel free to ask any questions.
I created these slips for learners on my course to demonstrate how they have embedded literacy and/or numeracy into their graphic design
This is a big push within young offender learning and it helps the learners to understand the relevance of core subjects within pathways and the real world
Happy to edit the PDF for other subject areas - please just contact me!
A simple Op Art themed wordsearch that I created to use as a starter during an Op Art themed lesson.
Works well for KS3 learners.
I have also provided the answers.
A poster I designed to support learners on the NCFE qualifications and to help them understand the expectations within different learning objectives and assessment criteria.
I have also uploaded a Music Technology and Graphic Design version.
A series of worksheets (all in one PDF) created to develop learner understanding of colour theory and colour schemes.
The worksheets have been designed for use in a young offender institute, and so the subject is aimed at teenage boys.
These would work as a cover lesson, homework or taught lesson activity.
Feel free to ask any questions.

I work for the Leeds Youth Justice Service and I have created a series of fact sheets called ‘Conversation Starters’ to help other staff in the service with key information about religions, countries, cultures and languages.
They are designed to be quick guides and allow staff to read up on various topics prior to meeting with / working with families and young people.
The aim is to help with any misconceptions and to also know of any special etiquette, etc. that should be adhered to. Plus to help with topics of conversation!
In the religions series I have created:
Atheism and other beliefs (this sheet)
Buddhism
Christianity
Hinduism
Judaism
Paganism
Rastafari
Sikhism
Spiritualism
Islam
Please note - I have added the PDF and PowerPoint files. The documents contain some references to Leeds links which can easily be modified or removed. The Leeds YJS logo is also on the document so this can be replaced / removed.
As well as selling each individually I will sell them all as a bundle at a discounted rate, once I have chance to upload them all!

In the countries series (so far) I have created:
Angola (this sheet)
Eritrea
Lithuania
Poland
Romania
Slovakia
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
Turkey
Though I will keep creating these as and when they are requested, so this list may not include all of them and it would be best to check my TES page as well!
