I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

A simple worksheet . Children draw the main events of their life since they were born. Looks lovely when completed - good display fodder. I open this with windows live photo gallery and select full page to print.

A finished picture is shown and then a picture which is incomplete. The children have to say what is missing and create a completed one. I say that they were photocopied incorrectly and I need their help to make completed pictures. The first one introduces the idea of audience. From then on the pictures depict various scenes from the Nativity and they are treated in a similar vein . Good for discussion and creative impulses.

Edited-examples of Inuit throat singing and traditional dancing are given as examples for the children to copy and try for themselves. There are suggestions, on the video, for children to make their own Inuit dance and music

Edited video emphasizing the role of music and Shakespeare in the opening ceremony 2012 olympics. Pupils encouraged to appreciate Danny Boyle and Underworld's inspiration. The video also emphasizes the industrial Revolution. Good starting point for this topic and for studying creative impulses. The quality had been impaired by reducing size in order to upload.

This is a useful little video that I have edited. It's from 'It&'s a bugs life ' The ants collect food and later celebrate . The video explores each aspect, the lifting, throwing, carrying, marching ,flying etc. I&';m using it for movement, but you could use it for Harvest festival, literacy , poetry etc . We are using it in our mini beasts topic. Children can make props for their foraging. We drew fruit and cut it out. We staggered under the weight and deposited the 'fruit' on our 'mountain '

Teaching G Choose the picture which has a different initial letter and is therefore the odd one out. The final slide animates the odd one out; Children could design their own alphabet frieze or playing cards (for snap) choosing from the pictures on the PowerPoint. .

I had to make my own sound bites of bells as they were hard to track down. Pupils can tinker with them in Audacity or use them in their presentations.
