This resource gives an overview of the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
It discusses his characteristic musical style, with recommended works to focus on.
Additionally there are 4 SAMS, based on the type of questions that students will come across in their exam. A great deal of research has gone into creating these questions.
Answers are provided at the end of the booklet, although these answers are by no means exhaustive. I know that all of the expert teachers out there will no doubt find extra answers to some of the questions I have set.
Pieces include:
Think of Me (from Phantom)
Gethsemane (from Jesus Christ Superstar)
Oh What A Circus (from Evita)
Close Every Door (from Joseph)
Screenshots included of extra musical extracts, for teaching purposes, if required.
This resource is suitable for WJEC, EDUQAS, AQA, EDEXCEL and contains:
R&H typical musical style sheet
TOP TIPS in answering exam questions sheet (with key terminology)
4 SAMS focusing on:
Bali Ha’i
The March of the Siamese Children
The Farmer and The Cowman
What’s The Use of Wond’rin’
