In my role as DSL I recently created some safeguarding surveys for children , parents and staff to complete. I have also included the covering letter I sent to parents with their survey (obviously I have removed our details. I tried to make the children’s more visually using emojis. I used similar questions and changed them slightly for all 3 stakeholders. Please feel free to change my resources as you require- any questions please ask.

I made these grids similar to the moderation sheets we use as teachers, but child friendly with pictures and examples to help the children understand what to look for in their writing. My children use these effectively and it also helps my teacher assessment and their understanding. It may help new year 6 teachers too! I made these tasks for my class to focus on now the SATS are over. They are loving them so far. They love working in groups and presenting to the class. It also creates a healthy bit of competition. Both group tasks involve working collaboratively, budgeting, research , recording information and preparing a presentation. This is a complete lesson with notebook file and activities. The learning objective is- To explore and discuss religious art There is an activity sheet and resources including a notebook file that forms the whole lesson for you. This is a whole lesson. I used this with a mixed year 5/6 class for an observation by the head and a governor who said the lesson was 'outstanding' in old OFSTED terms! It worked well and the children enjoyed it.

I used the write stuff approach whilst using The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde with my mixed year3/4 class. The children loved the story and the results were amazing- fantastic writing! This sheet explains and revises active and passive voice. I made these to help my class to consolidate their understanding of active/passive and now they are using it independently in their writing. There are 3 tasks to complete- it is colourful and visual and gives clear examples of each. I currently teach a very mixed ability year 5 and 6 class and they all found it useful.

I found a unit i created with a colleague in 2014. For RE we did a unit called Christian celebrations and Christmas symbols. It includes all our planning, resources etc. Putting it all on here in case it is useful to someone else. Merry Christmas

A peer assessment sheet I made for use in Ks2 There are 2 to a page and sticks easily in to a book

I made this for my classroom and it has been really successful. We have printed it on A3 paper and laminated it and it is displayed in the classroom. During the week, I choose 5 words that lots of the class are getting wrong. Under the tick I write the correct spelling and under the cross some of the incorrect spellings for that word children have used. I hope others find it as useful as my class have.
