A worksheet to practice -ER verbs in the preterit tense.
Part 1: Complete the verb conjugation chart by conjugating the verb for all 6 persons.
8 Verbs included: comer, beber, volver, correr, vender, barrer, aprender, devolver
Part 2:
Using the 8 verbs above, write 8 sentences with the following guidelines:
Start every sentence with a clue word from the list below.
Every sentence must have a different subject (Use subject pronouns Yo, Tú etc and names of people).
Every sentence must be 6 words minimum and should not be repetitive (using the same words over and over). Note: All clue words count as one word only even if they are 3 words like “La semana pasada”.
Post the word count at the end of every sentence.

Preterit imperfect clue words identification and translation practice
For each clue word, write P if it uses the preterit tense and I if it uses the imperfect tense. Then, write the English translation of the clue word. (35 total)

For each infinitive, write the meaning using the word bank. Then, write the correct preterit conjugations for each subject. In order to form the conjugation, add the preterit ending to the irregular stem.

Guidelines for each subject (person):
(1) Write the correct conjugation of Ir (to go).
(2) Write “a”.
(3) Choose and write the correct infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) from the word bank that logically completes the sentence.
(4) Write the appropriate reflexive pronoun for each subject.

PART I: Complete each sentence with the correct conjugation of the reflexive verb including the reflexive pronoun. (10 total)
PART II: Choose the correct verb (reflexive or non-reflexive) and write A or B. (5 total)
PART III: Answer all questions in a complete sentence in Spanish. (9 total)
PART IV: Choose and write the correct form of the infinitive including the appropriate reflexive pronoun where necessary. Do not use reflexive pronouns with non-reflexive verbs. Use an infinitive for an answer if necessary but include the reflexive pronoun. (18 total)
