Managing Conflict and Disagreeing Respectfully, PSHE lesson plan KS3 KS4

Lesson plan, presentation and short script for KS3 and KS4 about disagreeing respectfully when managing conflicts on and off line and fits well with my lesson on assertiveness. The lesson plan gives students the opportunity to practise listening skills, act out a discussion that goes wrong and work through steps to disagreeing peacefully. The steps are based on mediation steps and help students develop skills to manage discussions and arguments. These skills will help in their own relationships off and on line and also contribute to English skills of debate and persuasion. Have fun with this!

Anti-bullying week ideas sheet

Quite a few teachers have asked for some ideas for anti-bullying week so I’ve put together a lost of some simple tried and tested ideas. This isn’t a set of lesson plans but rather a springboard to get your thinking about how you could use some of the activities in your school but of course you’ll add your own flavour! As always with any PSHE-related activities it’s best to plan them as a part of a spiral programme running throughout the school but sometimes we just need a bit of a helping hand! Don’t forget to maintain that balance of knowledge, skills and understanding. Have a great anti-bullying week.
