I have added a road map for year 10 and 11 road map for Construction. It shows specific points for each unit where and when each aspect of the course should be completed.
I have added a road map for year 10 and 11 road map for Design and Technology. It shows specific points where and when each aspect of the course should be completed.
I have developed a booklet for learners to develop skills when calculating materials. The questions are job related and designed the same way as they will come up in the exam. I have started the booklet with simple easy questions and then worked into exam style questions.
Introduction to isometric drawing lesson. Lesson is fully planned with teaching powerpoint and a student on isometric paper. I used this for an interview lesson and feedback was that was a excellent way of teaching properties of materials and a unique twist that students can relate too.
EDUQAS - Unit 2 - Constructing the Build Environment
Unit 2 booklets for JOINERY, TILING AND ELECTRICAL
The booklets will be used as a place where students document the skills they have covered/tools needed/risk assessment and evaluation.
Individual Powerpoints for each skill. Powerpoint explain indepth knowledge needed to deliver each skill which includes links to tutorials.
Eduqas - Constructing the build environment - Unit 3 Teaching. LO2 - AC2.1 - Phase 1 to 3 Adapted resources for teaching of the three phases. Differentiated task where learners work in small groups discussing the roles of each job title and how the link with the build.
Eduqas/Wjec SOL - Year 10 SOL for units 1 - Engineering design & Unit 3 Solving Engineering problems.
Indepth break down of week by week and how each AC and LO will be covered.
Edexcel speaad sheet
Design and Technology SOL years 7, 8 and 9
All 3 SOL are completed on an excl sheet. Each year group is linked with my KS3 resources that are already uploaded onto the site and can be accessed through my shop.
I have adapted the previous skills to match the skills to be covered in the new specification. Working with the SOL I have produced a Powerpoint that shows all the skills as well as Engineering drawings with sizes of a mini stud wall.
Teaching from September 2022
SOL for year 10 Eduqas/Wjec Engineering Lvl 1/2
This is how I’m running it from September but no way is it set in stone. This is my first draft but the foundations are there.
We have 1 double lesson and 1 single lesson each week for year 10’s and 11’s. The double lesson I intend to run with the practical elements for unit 1 this is based on skills that will/should be used when the exam board release the skills needed in June/July.
I am running with exam theory in the single lesson.
All resources will be linked to the specification and titled in that way. See my downloads for these resources.
Resources to help deliver and guidance for teachers which includes templates.
The resources also include power points that will help learners learn how to draw and convert third angle projection. I have added numerous tasks for learners to follow. I have added slides that show and demonstrate the tasks and how shapes are draw in both orthographic and 3rd angle drawings. I will add google sketch up drawings to show how to make a product in google sketch and then move the design to be able to screen shot it to show third angle drawing.
Following tasks and power point for learners to complete:
Orthographic and 3rd angle projection task
Life cycle assessment task
Renewable energy
I will be adding other resources for this unit so keep checking back
Unit 3 is now fully planned that covers all LO and AC. Each Ac has task or task assigned to them that work along side power points that have completed answers within the power point. I have spent some seriou time developing these resources hence the final price.
Learner work booklet
Power points for each LO and AC
Completed GAANT chart
Blank GANNT chart (for learners to complete)
Tracking sheet for all of the units
Client revision pages within each power point
COSHH pdf that learners need to complete a risk assessment.
Client revision sheets
R/A/G progress sheet
Weekly breakdown on extensions
Eduqas/Wjec Engineering - Unit 3 Revision tasks - 3rd Angle/Orthographic and area/volume questions
1 x 3rd Angle/Orthographic and area/volume questions answers
1 x 3rd Angle and Orthographic drawing booklet
2 x Guided reading tasks
Year 8 mood light projects - Weeks 1 to 11 - Each week has a question that will be discussed in the practical lesson. Each question relates to a big question that is - What impact does the manufacturing have on your carbon footprint? - Each week a homework has been added. A tracking sheet that will be used to assess the learners at the end of the carousel. PLC has been added to the resources where each learner will use them to check their own progress and skills learnt.
Each skill that is taught has been photographed and is in the powerpoint.
Engineering drawings are added to the slides to teach learners the basics of reading engineering drawings.
A workbooklet has been added that I used during lockdown.
Resources to help deliver and guidance for teachers which includes templates and examples of work that has been graded.
A teaching PP and Learner PP is supplied for units 1
I have added the template for the 2D Design. Each part of the low-cost phone rig has been drawn on a seperate 2D Design file. These can be adapted for learners. Message for and I can email them.
