Part 1 of 3 Behaviour Support Packs that have been proven to support improvements in Behaviour.
A five week module of work that can be used as part of a Life Skills Programme or for intensive 1-1 targeted work. The module uses real life examples as identified by the student through reflection, to help modify and improve their future responses and relationships with staff.
The programme aims to support improvements in student behaviour by helping them reflect upon their previous actions and behaviours.
Pastoral Leaders use Part time provision for exceptional circumstances often where there is a complete breakdown in school discipline or where the reduced provision will benefit the health and wellbeing of the student.
Such provision needs tracking and auditing; this resource provides you with a visual week by week tracker that identifies student targets and incentives during the reduced provision, that can be used as ongoing evidence for the review process at the end of the agreed time.
This exemplar tracker is set up for a 4 week Programme but it can be adapted to suit student needs - the document can be referred to when staff need to discuss behaviour and the targets with the student.
I also include a recording sheet with this resource.
The Student Review Book, primarily aimed at year 9 students, provides an extensive document that supports student reflection and action; the plan can be used at the end of a term or at the end of a year, to help the student reflect upon the previous term/year and put thoughts and actions into place for the following term/year.
The plan also provides a focus on Citizenship and how this has been developed by the student over time.
The document can be incorporated into any PSHE or Life Skills Programme or indeed form an integral part in any Tutoring Programme.
An excellent resource for all those staff needing to track, monitor and trigger support for student behaviour; a useful resource that works alongside other SEN documentation as part of any action planning processes - this documents forms an evidence base over time of actions taken and the appropriate support that has been implemented.
I have added the Inclusion Support Plan as an additional resource with this package - both documents would work together.
This resource includes a model 'Anti-bullying Policy, in addition to an in-depth evidence form for recording bullying incidents.
In addition, I have added a couple of initiatives that were introduced in my Centre…A bullying levels programme that can be incorporated into any Behaviour Policy/Anti-bullying Policy and an appropriate letter that can form as a template to shape any bullying letters that need to be sent home to parents.
In addition to these excellent resources I have also included a Bullying Contract that can be used with students who are habitual bullies in your provision.
All have been proven working documents in a PRU.
A fun quiz I have recently written to show that having ADHD/ADD/ASD or similar disabilities need not stop you from being successful in life.
The aim is to use this with students who feel that their disability is hindering their life chances.
Data analysis forms an integral role for almost every teacher. In particular, Senior Leaders will use student data of all kinds across the school to inform actions for whole school development planning.
This resource consists of an in-depth whole school data collection sheet which identifies succinctly the kind of evidence school leaders should be collating. Alongside this is a very helpful template that outlines how your data could be presented; this can be used by HOY who needs to present an end of term/year analysis, an Assistant Head accountable for attendance and behaviour across the school or indeed a Head of Centre or Headteacher who needs to present a well structured analysis of whole school data for governors, for example.
Are you training your new staff in the basics of Behaviour Management or are you reinforcing appropriate expectations for Managing Behaviour in a whole staff training session? Are you reflecting upon your own Behaviour Management and feel your responses to students could be improved upon or are you a new teacher looking for tips and advice regarding using appropriate language in the classroom?
If so, this resource is perfect for you.
This excellent training/reflective document identifies an extensive list of possible ways students could disrupt learning in the classroom, alongside some less than helpful responses by the teacher…the document then identifies a more appropriate response that helps the teacher to manage the situation more successfully.
The resource identifies more than 20 different scenario’s alongside an opportunity to have ago at some answers for yourself.
This resource identifies a number of questions that can be asked of students during a tutorial/review day or simply used to help prompt appropriate and supportive conversation between a tutor and their students.
I wrote this resource for my tutors in a PRU who had to lead student reviews at the end of each term and they found it very helpful in prompting appropriate responses from their students.
I have updated this resource to now include all 10 Word Quizzes.
Guess the Word Quizzes 1-10. These fun quizzes can be used as starter or energizer for any lesson. They could also form an integral part of your Literacy sessions.
This selection includes:
The England, Scotland and Wales place name quiz
Unusual Word Quiz
A Grime Music slang selection.
A Health and Well Being Quiz
A College Focused Quiz
5 standard Word Quizzes
A fun and engaging way to start any Literacy/English lesson.

A 6-7 week Year 10/11 Sex Education Module that has been written with a focus on Christian ethos that links to positive relationships, love and marriage.
The module meets the expectations of new RSE guidance and would be an ideal fit into any PSHE or Life Skill Programme. The main focus of the module is as follows:
1.Relationships, family and friends
2. Teenage expectations
3. What is Love?
4. Getting Married
5. Sexual Responsibility
6. The right to say no
A 10 week programme of Study that can be delivered as part of a Geography or Life Skills Scheme of work. The module focuses on developing student knowledge about their community, towns and cities of the UK and Europe alongside enhancing their research and enquiry skills, especially when using an atlas or online mapping resource.
Some of the outcomes for the module are…
To develop student understanding of the location and place of the British Isles as part of Europe and the rest of the world
To raise student awareness of the key features of the British Isles with regard to major towns’ cities, rivers and relief features.
To enhance student knowledge and understanding of the key tourist features of London
To enhance student atlas skills and to help prepare them for more independent geographical research.
To raise student awareness of the countries that makes up the continent of Europe and for them to be able to recall key facts and points of interest for some of them.
To identify current or historical events that take place, or have taken place amongst the countries of Europe.
To have a greater knowledge of European holiday destinations
A module of work to support students who have been excluded from school; An ideal piece of work for delivery to those students who have received more than 1 FTE who will form a targeted group within your provision.
The 8-9 week module can be delivered by a Mentor, Tutor, LSA or more specialist teacher both in 1-1 sessions or with targeted groups of students. It could also be delivered through a Life Skills or PSHE Programme - I originally wrote the module for delivery by PSHE teachers in a KS3 PRU.
The key focus for the module is:
Looking at an ideal future
Locus of control
Appropriate decision making
Stop, Think, Go
How to handle stress

If so, then this BV statement will provide an excellent starting point for your staff and provide all the relevant information that is required for this vital part of the school curriculum.

Looking to keep your kids active and challenged during lockdown whilst also having fun? Help them set up the challenges in this booklet and watch them become engaged and challenged. Join in the fun and challenge yourself against them.
The challenges and activities are suitable for children and adults of all ages and cost very little to set up.
I wrote this document/template when I was successful in securing my final Headship before retirement; In addition to key school documents like the SDP/SEF/Raise Online Data etc, It proved a very useful ally when I was exploring all aspects of my new school. Once I had discovered an item on the list I would check it off and identify where I saw it or where it could be found.
This is not an Ofsted related document but a personal template that I found very useful.
Are you a new Head looking to identify key priorities for improvement?
If so, you may find this real life exemplar of an Action Planning Document very useful; designed in a manner that has both clarity and coherence.
After securing a Headship in a school requiring improvement and having made numerous visits to my new school (and after reading appropriate documentation and data) I decided to write the template identified in this resource. The layout helped me to formulate key action points in a clear and coherent manner; it also proved to be a useful document for my colleagues in SLT, from which we were able to identify key points for moving forward; the document fed into the School Development Plan and SEF and helped us to focus on key priorities.
A very useful template for collating information on new students to your provision. This can be used by staff supporting the induction of new students or indeed by admin staff who support the collation of information on new students - Once completed this is a useful document to share with key staff who work with the student.
