This is a thought-provoking advanced ESL lesson plan for teens and adults about school, working life, class differences, getting a job and societal pressure. Good for a debate class and includes discussion questions. The students will listen to a John Lennon song and discuss. As an ESL activity, this includes a listening activity where students have puzzle pieces and must stick them together as they listen to the words of the song. Once completed correctly, the reverse of the puzzle shows a fat banker giving crumbs to the poor. Can also be used for a sociology class.
