This short powerpoint was made to examine the response of Elizabeth I’s Government to widespread poverty during her reign. It goes through the introduction of the Poor laws, and its features, and eventually evaluates it.

Includes the state of the General Public’s health in the 19th century and why it was like that, the outbreak of Cholera & the involvement of John Snow, and the solution for Cholera and Joseph Bazalgette’s involvement in that.
