Ancient Egypt: Pyramids

In this product, you will find a differentiated comprehension activity and a PowerPoint to accompany the comprehension activity, along with some other lesson ideas you could incorporate into this resource. These learning activities also double as STEM lessons! When we are finished learning about how the Ancient Egyptians built pyramids, I have my students bring in tissue/shoe boxes. Then in groups, the students go through the process of building a pyramid: drawing one, making a model with blocks and finally building their own pyramid with shoe/tissue boxes. This activity allows for a ton of self assessment and reflection upon completion of the unit.
