OCR A Level : Coastal Landscapes - Formation of Headlands and Bays.

This lesson covers the formation of headlands and bays. I found myself being frustrated by the lack of process detail that students were putting into their answers. They have textbooks but rarely seem to read them closely! My solution was to design these A3 sheets which guide students through the note taking process by getting them to focus on a wide ranging exam style question. The sheet links clearly to the Hodder text and ensures that students also focus on integrating the case study of Flamborough Head where these features can be seen. The emphasis is on applying processes to formation rather than a simple chronological description. The quality of the final written answers has improved massively as a result of using these. The power-point guides students through the process but the sheet is self explanatory and little teacher input is required. Teacher lesson notes are also included. This resource can also be used as revision activity for Year 13.

A series of 4 bright and engaging activity sheets designed to be printed off A3 to be used during revision. The first sheet is designed to be printed off double sided and covers the key content required with a focus on knowledge and understanding (AO1 and AO2). A more open ended mind-map is also included and is supported by a colour coded knowledge organiser to encourage students to reprocess their knowledge and understanding. The resource is fully editable but can be used straight away with no preparation necessary. No other resources are required and the activities are designed to be used flexibly. Excellent for use in group revision, homework and intervention sessions.

A set of resources that cover the opportunities and challenges section of the Urban World Course. These are standalone resources that are designed to be used after both city case studies have been taught to help bring out similarities and differences between cities and help students focus on themes. They can be printed off and used as they are or integrated into structured revision. The use of venn diagrams as graphic organisers help students to separate out the key differences but crucially how challenges such as transport provision are actuall very similar. Then students can be asked to turn the generic statements into specifics for revision purposes. Ideal for use at home. These can be successfully used with the specific city knowledge organisers, or their own revision notes but will work well with any textbook / revision guide case study. The resource is fully editable so can easily be adapted to fit into your teaching. All terminology is based on the AQA syllaubus as students can struggle to recognise what ‘challenges’ and 'opportunities actually mean in an exam question.

This resource has been fully updated to be used with the New 2nd Edition CGP Revision Guides. Revision Guide needed! The 11 page booklet covers the climate change section of the physical geography unit including the causes, evidence for, effects mitigation and adaptation strategies. This extremely useful booklet follow the popular green revision guides (with the jokes) and are ideal to be used as a distance learning resource providing a structured note taking template for students who have the revision guide. Each booklet follows an easy to follow format with activities added to check understanding of subject specific vocabulary and key concepts. Each page links clearly to the revision guide to help structure work. The booklet easily provides 2-4 hours of structured self - supported study. The booklet is provided as a fully editable A4 Portrait formatted Power-point version (much easier to edit than word!) which allows students to complete and submit electronically or a PDF version for easy printing and completion as a booklet. I have also included the original 2016 1st Edition Booklet if you are still using the older Revision Guides.

It covers the historical evidence, glacial retreat, ice cores, direct temperature readings through to recent changes in sea ice coverage. It is designed to be used with the Oxford Textbook with a graphic organiser linked to the double-page spread but plenty of video links are included for variety and the book is not necessary. but other sources can be used instead. A range of options is included to cover the material, depending on the sources available. A graphic organiser has been kept relatively generic to allow for a variety of texts/sources to be used but it is ideal if using the Oxford Textbook. Differentiated questions have also been included.
