Invest in your future

(0)
Did you know that the stock market has produced an average return of 10% over the last 100 years. Yet when it comes to investing, millennials are falling behind. A 2018 survey of 1,519 aged between 21 to 37 by TD Ameritrade finds that only 50 percent of millennials currently invest in the stock market, which is mainly due to feeling intimidated by the market and having a lack of understanding. However, both Tony Robbins and Warren Buffett argue that getting started in the market doesn’t have to be daunting. Suggesting, there are ways to begin investing for the future without taking on too much risk: recommending starting with index funds, especially for anyone young or new to the market. The image below could be used as either a thought provoking classroom poster or as a discussion point in class to get students discussing the stock market and what options they have with their money.
