Questions taken from arithmetic papers over the years based on elements that my class had struggled with (2016 - 2024)
I would use this resource as a lesson starter, morning activity or with a booster/intervention group, normally, from Spring 1 or Spring 2.
A resource containing questions ranging from working towards age expected to greater depth and also some investigation questions.
I would use this as a morning activity, a starter activity or for a quick guided maths session.
The idea is to drill into the children that “it’s nothing new” getting them to understand that they already have the tools (mathematical knowledge), they just have to figure out how to use it.
The resource also has SATs style questions including some from **2024 **
Selection of questions to be used (designed with middle to lower ability in mind) for revision, lesson starters or intervention sessions.
Use in PowerPoint presentation mode for step by step guide to answering different types of questions.
Includes Number and calculation, statistics, shape and measure, fractions and decimals and word problems.
Can be used by parents who wish to support their children at home?
Includes notes on each slide for use by parents.
Some old school ideas/ resources I have collected over the years to support multiplication and division practice which we all know is essential in preparation for Year 5/6.
NB: If you are using this resource outside of school, you will need access to a printer
