About Our School:  

The Wrenn School is unique, we are lucky enough to be a split site school, enabling us to provide a lower and upper school site. The school has beautiful grounds, purpose-built Art, Music, Drama and Design Technology, Wrenn Astro, playing fields, hard play areas and Gyms provide excellent facilities for our pupils. About the Safeguarding Department  

At Wrenn School, safeguarding is our top priority. We take all concerns seriously and encourage the students to speak to us about anything that may be worrying them. Respecting others is part of our school ethos, which is reinforced by our culture, PSHE lessons and 'Be Kind @ Wrenn' scheme. We provide high levels of mental health support to our students, as well as having strong relationships with external agencies for escalation, if needed.

About You:  

Within this role, you will bring your passion for the safeguarding of students, fostering relationships between pupils, and creating an engaging and challenging learning environment. Our ideal candidate would have:  

  • Previous experience working within administrative roles
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies
  • DSL Training (desirable)
  • Experience working within agencies working with children and families (desirable)

Located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, Wrenn School is a secondary school for boys and girls aged 11-18. The establishment has two campuses: London Road, for Years 10-13 and Doddington Road, for Years 7-9. The coeducational School has 1470 pupils, including 140 in the sixth form.

Wrenn School's origins lie in Wellingborough High School for girls and Wellingborough Grammar School for boys, which both shared the site in 1930. The two schools merged in 1975. Wrenn School gained academy status in 2013.
