The children will learn about ‘dragons’ from an old letter from Mary Anning and will spend the first week investigating dragon myths and painting dragons. They will then discover that her sea dragon was in fact an ichthyosaur, learning about changes through time in the process. The children will learn about how the continents have moved across the surface of the planet and will compare maps of Pangea to today’s world maps, as well as investigate the coastal town of Lyme Regis. Finally, they will learn about features of animals that determine their food source and habitats and will culminate in the production of a fact file<br /> All curriculum statements included for subjects, along with planned blooms taxonomy questions.</p>
