This is a quick way to sample and avoids having to warp the track.</p> <p>This resource has been really useful for my students who have used this have been able to approach the task confidently and independently.</p>

<p>A poster to explain what a chord is. This poster addresses the misconception that a chord is a single note.</p>

<p>The PowerPoint begins with a recap lesson of treble clef, looking at Mr Brightside.</p> <p>Lesson 2 onwards is bass clef notation of Stand By Me, working towards a full class performance, with percussion, singers, keyboards and instrumental solos.</p> <p>The lessons cover most of the learning expected in the music curriculum - bass clef notation, ledger lines, staccato, tie, repeat mark. It also covers the dynamic markings through the singing. The scheme includes very thorough scaffolding of tasks and also extension tasks for different abilities.</p> <p><strong>This pack also includes</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>bass and treble clef note positions helpsheet, which I laminate 2 sided for the students to use every lesson.</li> <li>structure cards. I put them in envelopes for students to arrange in pairs every time they are introduced to a new song.</li> </ul> <p>The scheme has been hugely successful for me and by lesson 3, all students in the class understand how to read and play bass clef F-C fairly confidently.</p>

<p>Structure cards to arrange when listening to a song. The cards cover all sections that may feature in a song, including verse, chorus, chorus (key change), A, B, C and more.</p> <p>I have packs in envelopes for students to arrange in pairs when they are learning a new song.</p>

<p>This is a detailed PowerPoint, aimed at key stage 3 students to introduce them to African drumming.</p> <p>The students learn how to ditate and write their own rhythms. They also learn how to use texture and structure to create their own African drumming compositions in groups.</p> <p>I have included videos of myself modelling as lesson 1 is very much teacher led. It would be best if these were watched in advance and you then deliver the content of lesson 1 yourself rather than playing my videos to the class as it will be more engaging and less stop-start if led by you.</p> <p>An assessment booklet is also included.</p> <p>Within the lessons, the students also learn an African song (link to YouTube video included), which they eventually sing in a 2, 3 or 4-part round.</p> <p>The scheme is a great introduction to key stage 3 Music.</p>
