This is an advent calendar (template downloaded from TES - thank you the person who made this template!) with hyperlinked questions for each of the 25 boxes. The questions are on AQA C2 - Atomic structure, rates, bonding, acids etc. PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS MADE FOR THE OLD AQA SPEC!

I use this writing frame on A3 paper for KS3 classes to help them organise an investigation, and I link each part to AQA coursework so they are used to the words and ideas when they get to GCSE. There is an example LA writing frame where pupils investigate the link between the height you drop a ball and the height it bounces to, which shows you how you could adapt it for different investigations.

So that my pupils spell correctly when they play this in teams, a sheet with key words on from new AQA Spec. I also use this to get them to play 'Just A Minute' and other quick games as starters.

For quick AfL - pupils hold up cards to vote on their answer (in my school they have these cards in their planner) - quick assessment of their understanding. For B2 AQA.

Quick games to reinforce key terms in B2. I cut out all the cards and give a set of cards to each pair of pupils, or each group of 4 pupils. In our department we have a laminated set for each topic, all of the same format of key words. Games to play with these cards - there is a separate word document detailing the games. I have used these as a card sort too - I project an essay question and then pupils choose which cards are useful to answer it. This can help them to scaffold their answer.
